Religious Education at St. Patricia
We would like to inform our Religious Education families that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Archdiocese is asking each parish to limit in-person class time for our RE students and their families this year. In light of this, the RE Program will be implementing a Hybrid Program Model for the 2020-21 year. Classes will begin on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at 6:00 pm.
Each month there will be 1 session that takes place in-person on campus, 1 virtual session to attend, 1 at-home activity to complete, and 1 virtual prayer service.
Registration is open and the forms can be found here on the parish website or are available in the RE Office. Please call the office before stopping in. If you have any questions, please feel free to email or call the R.E. office at: or 708-599-1221. God bless and we look forward to seeing you at St. Patricia in the near future!
Adult faith formation addresses the needs of those in the Saint Patricia community who are seeking to deepen their faith.
The R.C.I.A. Program is a process that helps inquiring adults learn more about the Catholic faith. In questioning their faith and joining others, they learn and discover principals of our faith and church. After inquiring about the Catholic Church, individuals commit their desire to become Catholic. Members are received into the church at the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday.
Please contact the Religious Education office with any questions, (708) 599-1221.
The Religious Education Program is designed for our children who attend public school and return to the parish on Tuesday evenings or during the Summer Intensive program to hear the word of God, learn our faith traditions, and discover God's work in our lives.
Children's First Reconciliation is received in Grade 2 prior to First Eucharist. First Holy Communion is one of our three sacraments of initiation. It is through these sacraments of initiation that we become full members of the Church. Confirmation is usually celebrated in the spring of eighth grade
