St. Patricia's School Board

The School Board is responsible for the development and definition of policies, which govern the operation of the school in accordance with Archdiocesan School Board Policy. The Board acts as a liaison between the school families, the parish and the community. Archdiocesan boards, by their very nature, are advisory to the pastor and the principal.

Various Board responsibilities include:

To model a faith community and spirit of cooperation and interdependence with the Pastor and Principal.
To adhering to Archdiocesan policy and develop policies that enable the school to fulfill its mission.
To publicize the school and its programs in the parish and the community.
To periodically assess and plan for long and short-term improvements to the educational program and the physical plant
To act as the public relations and marketing arm of the school and its programs.
To approve the annual budget and determine funding sources.
To providing counsel and advice on the operation of the school.

Members of the School Board are the Pastor, the Principal and seven elected members from the Parish. Elected members include parents of children enrolled in the school and parishioners with no children in the school. Board members must be at least 21 years of age. No school or parish employee or member of the immediate family of an employee shall be eligible for membership. Elections for new members are held each spring, with members elected for a three-year term. Board members choose their officers for the next year in June.

The School Board meets monthly from September to June (usually on the second Thursday of each month) and over the summer as necessary

Everyone is welcome to attend and observe regularly scheduled meetings.
