Ministerial Opportunities
The Adult Faith Formation Team - The Adult Education and Ministry Commission announces the formation of a new parish organization - The Adult Faith Formation Team. The AFF Team's purpose will be A.) formulate a vision of adult faith formation for the parish; B.) identity elements of parish life that fosters adult growth in faith, assess their impact and enhance their effectiveness; C.) provide a diverse range of events for parish adult faith formation.
Auxiliary Ministers or Eucharistic Ministers - distribute the Eucharist to the community as minsters of the Cup or the Host during Mass. Ministers are mandated after completing the training program which is offered several times during the year.
Lectors - proclaim the Scripture readings and lead the prayers of intercession during Mass. Training sessions are offered several times during the year.
Ministers of Care - bring the Eucharist to the homebound. A 12 hour trainging session is available in the Fall and Spring.
Weekly Nursing Home Prayer Service - conducted by Minsters of Care who bring the Eucharist to the residents.
Ministry of Compassion - conduct services at wakes.
Eucharistic Adoration - held on the first Sunday of the month in Church from 3:00 to 6:45 PM ending with a Benediction. Meditative prayer with the Eucharistic Lord.
Prayer Line Members - pray at home for the intentions that have been written in the prayers intention book located in our gathering space.
Book Club - meet every other Monday evening to enrich their Catholic faith. Will resume Spring 2010.
Pilgrimages - travel to sacred places such as our Italian trip in 2009. Vist the Holy Land in April 2010.
